Abstract

The study investigates the physicochemical properties of polyacrylate-cement-derived composites, focusing on the role of polyacrylate latex in enhancing cement properties. The research employs various techniques such as Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) to analyze the chemical interactions and structural changes. Key findings include the formation of calcium formate, reduced porosity, and improved mechanical properties due to cross-linking reactions between polyacrylate latex and cement hydration products. This comprehensive analysis provides valuable insights into the potential of polyacrylate latex in enhancing the durability and performance of cement-based materials.
