Abstract

The article delves into the characterization of novel natural cellulosic fibers derived from purple bauhinia leaves, highlighting their potential as reinforcement in polymer composites. It discusses the extraction process, morphological analysis, physical properties, chemical composition, FTIR and XRD analysis, mechanical properties, and thermal degradation characteristics of these fibers. The study reveals that these fibers have high cellulose content, ordered crystallites, and suitable mechanical properties, making them promising candidates for biocomposites in various industrial applications.
