The chapter explores a new secure boot mechanism for SoCs using a self-created Secret Unknown Hash (SUH). This method ensures device-specific secure boot without requiring unique keys, addressing the limitations of traditional hash and PUF-based solutions. The SUH is created post-manufacturing within the device, providing high security and consistency.
