Despite growing awareness and commitment to biodiversity conservation, a substantial financing gap persists, hindering efforts to protect and restore ecosystems effectively. This chapter provides an in-depth examination of financial mechanisms designed to bridge this gap, presenting both established and emerging strategies. Drawing on recent studies quantifying the biodiversity funding gap, the chapter synthesizes global and national insights to illuminate the scale of the challenge.
