Abstract

The chapter delves into the application of coating materials under an oxygen-free silane atmosphere for hot stamping, a crucial process in the automotive industry for manufacturing ultra-high-strength components. It introduces the challenges of traditional heating methods and the benefits of resistance heating, which enables rapid and scale-free heating. The focus is on the development and characterization of Ni700 coating, a binary eutectic alloy of nickel and phosphorus, designed for high heating rates.
