Cognitive Methods of Manager Behavior Formation in the Conditions of International Enterprise Activities

Abstract

The article discusses the cognitive approach to management; in particular, the cognitive characteristics of the manager in the field of international activity of the enterprise are highlighted. Attention is drawn to the necessity to study the cognitive style of the manager, his individual style and style of leadership, which eventually forms his behavior in solving the assigned functional tasks and the results of the activities of the headed division or team. The cognitive methods of shaping the manager’s behavior are determined; the economic evaluation of their effectiveness is carried out. In the article it is proposed to apply the manager’s work complexity factor to study the prerequisites for the formation of his behavior. Reducing the work complexity is achieved by improving cognitive characteristics, namely the implementation of such methods of shaping the manager’s behavior as: creativity stimulating method, professional development method, cognitive learning method, intellectual mobility method. It has been determined that on the complexity of task solving affect both professional competencies and personal characteristics of the manager, which can be improved by cognitive methods that develop the ability and skills of the manager to perform tasks with the highest efficiency. It is summed up that in the sphere of professional activity knowledge plays an important role in the development of cognitive methods of manager’s behavior shaping. The potential opportunities to improve the performance of the enterprise, in particular, taking into account the reduction of the complexity of such work, are substantiated.
