Abstract

The article delves into the innovative use of cold plasma as a seed priming method to enhance the growth and salinity tolerance of yellow maize. It explores the application of cold plasma technology, which utilizes reactive species to modify seed surfaces, improving germination and seedling vigor. The study highlights the significant improvements in seedling growth, including increased chlorophyll content, seedling length, and fresh weight, when seeds are exposed to cold plasma for optimal durations. The research also investigates the effects of plasma-treated seeds under different soil salinity levels, demonstrating enhanced yield attributes and nutrient uptake in yellow maize. The findings suggest that cold plasma treatment can mitigate the adverse effects of salinity, making it a promising strategy for sustainable agriculture. The article concludes that cold plasma technology offers a scalable and environmentally friendly approach to improving crop resilience and productivity in saline-affected regions.
