Chassis mounts are a significant control element for NVH comfort in the car and are therefore the focus of optimization. Due to the superimposed excitation of the electric drive, valid simulation models of the mounts in the high-frequency range are required for electric axles. For the measurement-based validation and target setting of the mounts at system level, the Institute of Automotive Engineering (ika) at RWTH Aachen University, together with Ford, has developed a special chassis test rig that allows superimposed load cases to be realized. …
