Capgemini and Audi have launched their XL2 joint venture to support the digital transformation of Audi and the entire Volkswagen Group in their digital technology and consulting.

The XL2 joint venture launched by Audi and Capgemini will provide consulting and technology services for cloud and SAP S/4HANA as well as sector-specific solutions such as SAP Leonardo. The two companies have been working together on the development of digital transformation solutions for many years. "XL2's flexible and scalable way of working and its focus on important key technologies is part of our vision and our needs in further advancing digital transformation. Our long-term relationship with Capgemini and its proven capabilities in the automotive and SAP sectors make it the right partner," says Frank Loydl, Chief Information Officer at Audi.

It is expected that XL2 will enable thorough digital development of all important processes across production planning, logistics, finance, servicing, quality and materials management. The new joint venture has its headquarters in Heilbronn, near the Audi production site in Neckarsulm. It will also have dual leadership from Géraldine Aubert, former Vice President of Packaged Based Services at Capgemini, and Felix Spitznagel, former Project Manager of the SAP Acceleration Center at Audi. This agile company aims to expand its workforce over the next five years to take on more projects.
