Microchip Technology has completed the acquisition of Seoul (South Korea) based VSI. The company is active in the field of asymmetric high-speed camera, sensor, and display connectivity technologies and products that are based on the open standard of the Automotive SerDes Alliance for In-Vehicle-Networking. The terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. Mitch Obolsky, Senior Vice President of the business areas Automotive Products, Networking and Data Center at Microchip, said that “this acquisition integrates VSI's competent team, its market position, and the ASA Motion Link technologies and product into the Microchip's comprehensive automotive networking portfolio. This allows us to better serve the mega trend ADAS, which we are focussed on.”
