Green Hills Software, supplier of embedded safety and security, the semiconductor company STMicroelectronics (STM), and Cetitec, a Porsche company and software specialist for the development of connectivity and network system solutions, have agreed upon a collaboration. The goal is to provide an integrated and configurable communications platform for use in zonal controllers in a centralized EE vehicle architecture of an SDV. This solution consists of a realtime operating system (RTOS) µ-velOSity from Green Hills, STM's Stellar Integration MCUs, and Cetitec's network stacks, gateways, and routing frameworks. “Since SDV architectures are being fast-tracked by OEMs, platforms represent the key to reducing development costs and deployment time by shortening the integration time for control unit and function integration while simultaneously providing efficient communication management,” said Dan Mender, VP Business Development at Green Hills Software.
