Abstract

The chapter begins with an introduction to wheel loaders and their widespread use across various industries. It then delves into a detailed analysis of different hydrostatic drive system architectures for midi wheel loaders, including classic transfer case solutions and future systems with individual direct wheel drive. The study evaluates the capabilities of these systems through both qualitative and quantitative methods, focusing on key parameters such as speed, traction force, dynamic and kinematic ratios, and hill-climbing capacity.
