Abstract

The article presents a comparative study on the performance of different slope protective measures under rainfall conditions in Qingyang City, China. It highlights the critical role of slope stability in the economic development of the Loess Plateau, particularly in the context of concentrated rainfall and land scarcity. The research compares engineering methods like frame grids and plastering with vegetative approaches, emphasizing the importance of root activity and mechanical reinforcement in soil erosion resistance. Utilizing advanced theoretical models and numerical analyses, the study evaluates the impact of rainfall intensity and types on slope safety. The research also includes preliminary experiments on the effectiveness of stabilized soil for ecological slope protection, demonstrating significant improvements in soil mechanical parameters. The findings provide valuable insights into the optimal slope protection strategies for sustainable development and ecological restoration in the Loess Plateau.
