In the present study the isothermal and thermomechanical fatigue behaviour of the commercial near-alpha titanium alloy Ti6242 and the novel gamma-TiAl alloys TNB-V2 and TNB-V5a was investigated and compared. The comparison was carried out in order to define the suitable temperature range of application for each of these alloys and to illustrate the similarities and differences in the cyclic deformation behaviour and damage evolution.
