Abstract

In this paper, the authors propose the mathematical model in Park reference frame of squirrel cage induction machine with dual open-end windings. A comparison between open-end stator winding induction machines and star winding induction machines is presented. In this comparison, the authors take into consideration the power segmentation, redundancy degrees in degraded mode, the THD current and the torque undulation.
