Abstract
As mentioned at the beginning of this booklet, even small reductions in fuel consumption can bring about great savings. Exact fuel consumption measurements with great precision are therefore required to compare different technical solutions. Air pressure, humidity, wind strength, wind direction, the road condition, the road surface, traffic incidents, the load, the tire type, the tire air pressure, etc. will affect the fuel consumption of a heavy truck with a magnitude in the percentage range.
