Abstract

The chapter concludes the analysis of numerical simulations on chemical and creep models for concrete structures, showing promising results with low error values. However, it also identifies significant challenges, such as the need for careful calibration of material parameters and the difficulty in coupling these models due to numerical instability. The author suggests that future work should focus on developing a coupled chemo-creep-damage model and validating it against experimental benchmarks. The chapter also discusses the importance of implementing these models in real-world structures and the need for further research on shrinkage and intrapore pressure in concrete materials. The author is currently working on creating user-friendly subnodes for COMSOL Multiphysics to facilitate the use of these models by other researchers and practitioners.
