The trends of automated driving, electric mobility, and connectivity are also having an influence on passenger car and commercial vehicle tires as products. In our ATZ interview, Hélène Bathias from Michelin explains how a smart and connected tire can communicate important information and warnings to the vehicle and the driver and describes what its other advantages are.
Hélène Bathias (born in 1979) has been Initiative Leader Connected Solutions at Michelin at the company's headquarters in Clermont-Ferrand (France) since August 2021. Immediately after completing her master's degree (1998 to 2001), she joined Michelin, specializing in international trade, and has since been responsible for various tasks in several positions. Her work frequently focused on the OEM business for agricultural vehicles, commercial vehicles, and passenger cars. Bathias is currently a project manager with responsibility for the development of customer- oriented products relating to connected solutions.
