Abstract

The article discusses the pressing issue of biodegradable municipal solid waste and its impact on the environment and economy. It introduces consolidated bioprocessing as a solution to transform this waste into biofertilizer formulations, emphasizing the benefits of reduced waste and enhanced agricultural sustainability. The study involves the use of fungal and bacterial strains to produce multiple carbohydrases and plant growth-promoting traits. The process is described in detail, including the preparation of the biofertilizer formulations and their application in plant growth experiments. The results show significant improvements in plant growth and soil fertility, demonstrating the potential of this approach for sustainable waste management and agricultural practices.
