Abstract

The article presents the construction of AgI@Br-Cu2O composite with improved photocatalytic performance and stability under visible light. It addresses the challenges of conventional tetracycline degradation by introducing Br doping and AgI incorporation into Cu2O. The study demonstrates enhanced photocatalytic activity and stability, with the composite achieving a 94.98% degradation rate within 60 min. The work provides a detailed characterization of the composite using XRD, SEM, XPS, and EIS, and discusses the underlying photocatalytic mechanism. The findings highlight the potential of AgI@Br-Cu2O composite as a promising candidate for environmental remediation and photovoltaic applications.
