Abstract

Diffusion-limited aggregation, DLA in short, is a theoretical process describing the clustering of particles through a process of diffusion, like a random walk. It can help us to understand a very broad class of phenomena, such as the diffusion and aggregation of atmospheric contaminated particles, the formation of rivers and so on. It is proposed during the period of rapid development of fractal, then it quickly become the basic growth model far from equilibrium growth morphology. It has been a great attention ever since the date of its birth. Until now, it still occupies very important position in studies about fractal. DLA model is mainly applied in the physical sciences, biological sciences and other related fields [455–496].
