Abstract

The article explores the control of DC-DC buck converters using an adaptive neural network, addressing the challenges of maintaining stable output voltage under time-varying disturbances. It compares conventional control methods like voltage mode control (VMC) and current mode control (CMC), highlighting their limitations. The proposed adaptive neural sliding mode control (ANN-SMC) incorporates a radial basis function neural network (RBFN) to optimize control performance, ensuring stability and adaptability in the presence of parameter uncertainties and disturbances. The method is validated through simulations and experiments, demonstrating superior performance compared to classical PI control. The article concludes by emphasizing the practical advantages of the proposed approach for real-world applications.
