Abstract

This chapter explores a novel approach to Alzheimer's disease (AD) detection using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and a dynamic dropout technique. The study focuses on reducing computational costs and improving diagnostic accuracy, making AI-driven diagnostics more accessible. Key topics include the integration of hybrid dynamic dropout, confidence-gated voxel selection, and domain adaptation to enhance model performance. The method achieves a 35-40% reduction in computational load while maintaining high segmentation accuracy. Economic models indicate potential annual savings of $2.8 million for hospital networks, highlighting the cost-efficiency of the approach. The chapter also discusses the implications for e-health adoption and the potential to reduce healthcare costs through early detection and intervention.
