Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the aquatic environment, leading to improved water quality and reduced pollution due to lockdowns. In Brunei Darussalam, the pandemic has affected both the aquaculture and fisheries sectors, with notable changes in production and management practices. The chapter highlights the positive and negative impacts of the pandemic on these industries and provides recommendations for mitigating its effects. It also discusses the potential for the pandemic to resuscitate fish stocks and improve aquatic habitats, making it a valuable resource for professionals and specialists in the field.
