The vast literature in economics education aims to document good teaching practices and to serve as a guide for educators. Through a review of arguably some of the best studies in this literature, this chapter examines whether and why the current research paradigm is not successful in providing guidance to educators. A different approach to economics education research is proposed to supplement the current efforts.
