Abstract

The article delves into the challenges posed by the increasing number of mobile devices and their computational demands. It introduces a wireless-powered mobile edge computing (MEC) network assisted by device-to-device (D2D) communication to address these challenges. The authors propose a novel deep reinforcement learning algorithm based on Lyapunov optimization to optimize task offloading and resource allocation, minimizing long-term average task latency while considering energy constraints. The article also includes comprehensive simulations to validate the performance of the proposed algorithm, demonstrating its effectiveness in balancing task completion rates, delay, and energy consumption under various system parameters. The integration of D2D communication and energy harvesting technology, along with the use of advanced optimization techniques, makes this article a valuable resource for researchers and practitioners in the field of wireless communications and edge computing.
