Abstract

The article delves into the critical role of accurate state of charge (SOC) estimation in electric vehicle (EV) battery management. It introduces a novel method that combines deep learning techniques with data augmentation to enhance SOC prediction models. By incorporating additional features such as average power and resistance, the study demonstrates substantial improvements in prediction accuracy. The research compares the performance of Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) and Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) models, showcasing the superiority of LSTMs in capturing long-term dependencies and leveraging augmented features. The findings highlight the importance of feature augmentation in achieving more robust and accurate SOC estimation models, contributing to the advancement of EV technology and battery management systems.
