Deformation Characteristics and Microstructure Evolution of GH4169 Alloy Bars with δ-phase in Flexible Skew Rolling

Abstract

The chapter focuses on the Flexible Skew Rolling (FSR) process for GH4169 alloy bars, examining the deformation characteristics and microstructure evolution during rolling. It discusses the role of the δ-phase in promoting dynamic recrystallization (DRX) and inhibiting grain growth, as well as its effect on the formation of central defects. The study combines finite element simulations with experimental results to validate the FSR process and observe the microstructural changes in the rolled pieces. The findings highlight the potential of FSR for producing high-quality, small-diameter bars with tailored microstructures, making it a valuable resource for professionals in materials science and engineering.
