Abstract

The article focuses on the kinetics of austenite recrystallization during low-alloy steel hot deformation. It introduces a mathematical model that predicts the completeness of deformed austenite recrystallization with high accuracy, based on experimental data from steel 09G2S. The model considers the effects of temperature, deformation, and time on the recrystallization process. The study compares different forms of mathematical representations and concludes that the Belomyttsev–Molyarov equation provides the most accurate predictions. The article also highlights the potential for using this model to predict the final structure of low-carbon and low-alloy steels after hot deformation.
