Abstract

The chapter focuses on the design and fabrication of a flexible square patch antenna with an H-shaped slot for WiMAX applications. Utilizing foam as a substrate due to its flexibility, low cost, and eco-friendliness, the antenna demonstrates superior performance with a return loss of −34.64 dB at 3.5 GHz and a directivity of 4.23 dBi. The antenna's compact size and ability to maintain efficiency under bending conditions make it suitable for wearable and portable wireless applications. The chapter also compares the simulated and measured results, showing a good agreement between the two, and discusses the potential for future applications in 5G technology.
