Abstract

This chapter delves into the determination of the most suitable new generation vacuum cleaner types using PFAHP-PFTOPSIS techniques based on electronic word-of-mouth (eWOM). It begins by highlighting the shift towards digital shopping during the COVID-19 pandemic and the increased reliance on online reviews for product evaluation. The study focuses on consumer ratings and textual elements of reviews, transforming these into Pythagorean fuzzy numbers to eliminate uncertainty and enhance data meaning. The methodology involves a two-step process: first, using PFAHP to determine criteria weights based on expert evaluations, and second, applying PFTOPSIS to rank vacuum cleaners based on these weights and customer satisfaction scores. The case study compares six best-selling vacuum cleaner models in Türkiye, identifying the robot vacuum type as the most preferred. The chapter concludes by discussing the findings and suggesting future research directions, making it a valuable resource for those interested in advanced product ranking techniques and e-commerce trends.
