Abstract

The chapter delves into the significance of Industry 4.0 and its impact on data management in the industrial sector, particularly in project-based manufacturing. It highlights the challenges faced in the sheet-metal die design process, such as excessive data, limited time, and human errors. The study introduces an RPA system that aims to reduce human dependence, increase productivity, and enhance competitiveness. The methodologies discussed include 'Augmented Design,' 'Die Design Data Management,' and 'Die Production Management,' each focusing on different aspects of streamlining the design-to-production workflow. The chapter also explores the use of AI algorithms to predict design parameters and automate data transfer, ensuring error-free and efficient production processes. By addressing the deficiencies in current systems and proposing an integrated approach, this chapter offers valuable insights into achieving true digital transformation in the sheet-metal industry.
