Abstract

The article delves into the critical issue of wax deposition in oil wells, which significantly hinders oil flow and causes substantial economic losses. Traditional methods for removing wax deposits, such as mechanical, heat, microbial, and solvent treatments, are explored. The development of a new emulsion cleaner, QLJ-1, is highlighted, which utilizes a synergistic blend of organic solvents and surfactants to achieve high wax dissolution rates. The article meticulously details the experimental procedures, including the screening of solvents and surfactants, and the optimization of the emulsion cleaner's formulation. The performance of QLJ-1 is rigorously evaluated, showcasing its superior wax dissolution rate and stability compared to conventional cleaners. The findings offer promising technical support for enhancing the wax clearing process in oil wells, particularly in challenging environments like those found in northwest China.
