Abstract

The article delves into the development of amplitude equations for the Brushless Doubly-Fed Reluctance Machine (BDFRM), a promising technology for wind power and pump applications. It highlights the advantages of the BDFRM over traditional doubly-fed induction generators, such as high reliability and low maintenance cost. The research focuses on the steady-state operation of the BDFRM, using a novel amplitude equations model to derive analytical expressions for its variables. This model enables a fast and straightforward determination of performance limits and control system reference values, making it a significant contribution to the field of electrical engineering and power systems.
