Abstract

Results are provided for completion of a project under Re Alloys (Poland) plant conditions for production of ferrosilicochromium with a content of silicon of 48% (min.), chromium 34% (min.), carbon 0.02% (max.), phosphorus 0.02% (max.), sulfur 0.01% (max.), nitrogen 0.02% (max.), hydrogen 0.03% (max.), and oxygen 0.4% (max.). Work is conducted within the framework of the project for charge material selection, for charge composition optimization, for methods of protecting liquid refined ferrosilicochromium from gaseous element the transfer into an alloy, and for methods for removing carbon from ferrosilicochromium.
