Abstract

The chapter delves into the development of a rule-based control algorithm for DC charging stations, designed to operate V2G, V2H, and V2V topologies. The algorithm takes into account driver behavior, creating a charging scheme based on usage frequency index. Simulation results showcase the algorithm's effectiveness in managing grid load and vehicle charging, with a particular focus on maintaining stable voltage and power flow. The study also highlights the potential of using electric vehicle batteries as reactive power compensators and the benefits of microgrid configurations for charging infrastructure.
