Zusammenfassung

Die Themen „Einkauf“ und „Beschaffung“ sind in den meisten Unternehmen allgegenwärtig. Dieser bisweilen manuelle Prozess kann – je nach Unternehmensstruktur – mitunter sehr komplex und langwierig und somit ineffizient sein. Er bindet teils erhebliche personelle Ressourcen und verhindert durch seine Komplexität und Dauer oftmals die Realisierung von Skontoerträgen. Daher stellt sich die Frage, wie dieser Prozess vereinfacht und effizient gestaltet werden kann. Durch die Digitalisierung ergeben sich in diesem Kontext zahlreiche Möglichkeiten, vor allem repetitive und transaktionale Vorgänge im Purchase-to-Pay-Prozess zu automatisieren und so Effizienzgewinne zu realisieren. Dieser Beitrag zeigt anhand eines fiktiven Fallbeispiels, welche Ertrags- und Einsparpotenziale durch die Digitalisierung des Purchase-to-Pay-Prozesses gehoben werden können.
