Zusammenfassung

Die psychologische Führungsforschung ist bis heute ein angelsächsisch geprägtes Forschungsfeld mit unscharfen Grenzen zur betriebswirtschaftlichen und soziologischen Forschung. Führung gilt dabei als Prozess, bei dem es darum geht, ein Individuum oder eine Gruppe von Individuen so zu beeinflussen, dass ein gemeinsames Ziel erreicht wird. Historisch beschäftigte sich die Führungsforschung zunächst mit den Persönlichkeitseigenschaften und Verhaltensmustern von Führungskräften, dann mit dem interaktiven sozialen Prozess und den Zielen von Führung, später auch mit kognitiven motivationalen, ethischen und emotionalen Aspekten. Aktuell stehen kritische Fragestellungen, u. a. zu Themen wie Gender und Diversity, Kultur und Ethik im Fokus der Führungsforschung.
