Abstract

Im Folgenden wird eine bestimmte Phase in der Entwicklung der modern-kapitalistischen Gesellschaftsformation diskutiert, die aufgrund ihrer strukturellen Krisenhaftigkeit sowie eines gerade noch abgewendeten Kollapses des Weltfinanzsystems Anfang des Jahrtausends auch in der breiteren Öffentlichkeit für hitzige Debatten gesorgt hat. Die Entwertung riesiger Finanzvermögen und die hiervon ausgehenden ökonomischen Schockwellen rücken die Entwicklungsdynamik der Finanzmärkte in das Zentrum politischer Reformbemühungen und wissenschaftlicher Krisendiagnosen. ‚Finanzmarktkapitalismus‘ stellt eine Gegenwartsdiagnose dar, die die ökonomischen und institutionellen Umbrüche der vergangenen drei Jahrzehnte auf den Punkt bringen will.
