As the reality of this war sets in, the hunt for scapegoats is starting. Donald Rumsfeld finds himself described, by military and intelligence officers, as a ‘businessman’ whose ‘micromanagement’ has produced a ’stalemate’, with the possibility of ‘a political and military disaster’.
