Climate change is a hot policy topic as climatic changes challenge our way of life. The next assessment report by the IPCC (AR5), scheduled for publication this year, is based on representative concentration pathways (RCPs) instead of the familiar socioeconomic scenarios. Its global and regional projections of future climate change are eagerly awaited worldwide. The authors of The Atlas of Climate Change: Based on SEAP-CMIP5 bet on this curiosity, and although their offer of “immediate help and guidance for decision makers, researchers and those who are interested in climate change” could not have come at a more opportune moment, its attainment is doubtful. …
