Abstract

The article delves into the design and performance investigation of lead-free double perovskite tandem solar cells, focusing on the use of and as top and bottom cell absorber materials. Utilizing SCAPS-1D simulation, the study optimizes current matching between the top and bottom cells to enhance overall efficiency. The research emphasizes the importance of precise adjustments in absorber layer thickness and defect densities to achieve optimal performance. The article also provides a comprehensive analysis of electrical and thermal parameters, highlighting the stability of the designed tandem solar cell under varying conditions. The results demonstrate the potential for lead-free double perovskite tandem solar cells to achieve high power conversion efficiencies, making them a promising alternative for sustainable and efficient solar energy conversion.
