Abstract

The article introduces a DQN-based method for automatic emergency collision avoidance in vehicles that takes driver style into account. It addresses the challenge of adapting to different driving preferences, such as aggressive or conservative styles, to enhance safety and driver experience. The method uses semantic segmentation images and driver style coefficients as inputs to the DQN, which processes this information to make real-time braking decisions. The reward function is designed to guide the vehicle towards an ideal safety distance based on the driver's psychological expectations. The paper highlights the effectiveness of this approach through extensive simulations and tests, showing that the method can adapt to various driving styles and significantly improve collision avoidance performance.
