Abstract

The chapter 'Driving Velocity Tracking Error Analysis of Different Broadcast Methods Under Green Light Optimal Speed Advisory System' delves into the critical factors affecting vehicle energy consumption, with a particular focus on the driver's role in urban environments. The Green Light Optimal Speed Advisory (GLOSA) system is introduced as a tool to minimize acceleration and braking, thereby improving fuel efficiency. The author highlights the lack of research on the broadcast methods of GLOSA and their impact on driver behavior. The study compares three different dashboard display modes and evaluates their effectiveness in reducing speed tracking errors. Notably, the research incorporates voice prompts to enhance driver response and reduce errors. The chapter concludes with practical recommendations for optimizing the GLOSA system, including reducing the recommended speed value and advancing voice prompts to account for driver reaction delays. The findings offer valuable insights for improving the real-world application of GLOSA systems and enhancing overall driving efficiency.
