The article explores the development of durable antimicrobial cotton fabric using carboxymethyl chitosan (CMC) and quaternary ammonium salts (CPTC). The authors address the challenge of bacterial growth on cotton fabrics, which is facilitated by their breathable and hydrophilic properties. Traditional antibacterial agents have limitations in durability and effectiveness.
