Abstract

This chapter delves into the dynamic behavior of nonlinear vibration absorbers, focusing on the effects of mechanical clearance in a two-degree-of-freedom system. The study highlights how a small clearance of just 0.5 mm can profoundly alter the system's dynamics, leading to significant frequency shifts and improved vibration attenuation.
