This chapter delves into the intersection of ecofeminism, socio-ecological resilience (SER), and sustainable quality of life (QoL) in urban India, with a particular focus on the role of women-led environmental activism. The study examines how community-led efforts drive SER and the significance of ecofeminism in achieving sustainable QoL. Through a comprehensive literature review and a detailed case study of the Kaikondrahalli Lake restoration project in Bengaluru, the chapter explores the framework of SER in urban contexts, the role of ecofeminism in environmental governance, and the impact of gender participation in enhancing urban commons management and QoL. The case study highlights the success of women-led initiatives in revitalizing the lake, fostering civic engagement, and promoting sustainable living through community events like Kere Habba. The chapter also discusses the challenges and limitations of such initiatives, including unequal participation and the need for sustained volunteer commitment. The findings underscore the importance of integrating ecofeminist principles into urban governance and the need for systemic reforms to ensure long-term sustainability and equitable governance.
