Economic operation of residential load using IOT-based renewable energy management system

Abstract

The article explores the increasing energy demand and the role of renewable energy sources in mitigating this issue. It introduces an IoT-based renewable energy management system that integrates with a smart grid to optimize energy usage. The proposed adaptive Ebola whale optimization algorithm is highlighted as a novel approach to efficiently manage residential energy loads, reducing costs and enhancing user comfort. The system classifies loads as shiftable, non-shiftable, and controllable, and uses IoT data to optimize energy scheduling. The article presents a comprehensive analysis of the proposed method's performance compared to other optimization techniques, demonstrating significant improvements in energy efficiency and cost savings.
