Abstract

The article delves into the pressing security and efficiency challenges in smart grid data access, particularly focusing on attribute-based encryption (ABE) and its limitations. It introduces an edge-assisted and efficient revocable ABE scheme designed to address these challenges. The proposed scheme includes a direct user revocation mechanism that eliminates the need for cumbersome key and ciphertext updates, and an edge-assisted computation mode that reduces decryption costs. The scheme is backed by rigorous security proofs and practical demonstrations, showcasing its real-world applicability and superiority over existing solutions. The article also provides a comprehensive review of related works and comparative evaluations, highlighting the innovative contributions of the proposed scheme in the field of smart grid access control.
