Excerpt

The third and final issue for 2019 has fourteen articles that span a wide range of topics. The first article, by Douglas Steinley and Michael Brusco adapts a clustering approach for detecting multidimensionality in the context of item response models. Specifically, the authors adapted the approaches in Steinley (2003, 2006) to use the number of locally optimal solutions to indicate the quality of fit; succinctly, a greater presence of locally optimal solutions indicates a worse fitting solution.1
